The Cransley Foundation is a collective of Governors, Parents, the Headmaster, the School Leadership team and representatives from the Friends of Cransley.  It has been established to bring together past and present pupils, parents and staff through communication of our future plans and ideas for the continued development of our School, and its associated fundraising.

The Cransley Foundation

The Cransley Foundation has been established to raise funds from all sources for the benefit of Cransley School. The aim of the foundation is twofold:

  • Firstly, to support the development of Cransley School by providing a legacy which will ensure that first-class resources and facilities can be provided to underpin the education we provide.
  • Secondly, to provide funds for assisted places at Cransley, for example as scholarships and bursaries.

We have a long-term strategy for the continued development of Cransley School and the Foundation is core to the realisation of this strategy.

Why The Foundation Needs Your Support

As with many Independent Schools we do not have large endowments to fund bursaries, scholarships or major capital development. We are a registered charity and must continue to fund outreach projects to maintain this charitable status.

Whilst the financial management of the school is excellent, fee income alone cannot fund new development at the speed that is required to maintain cutting edge facilities. If we create new income streams this will allow us to fund major capital projects as well as bursaries that allow talented children to benefit from a Cransley Education.

Currently, a large percentage of our fee income is expended on salaries and other day-to-day running expenses of the school. But what we want to do is to continue the improvement of our facilities and so invest in our pupils of today and tomorrow.

These are exciting times at Cransley. We continue to achieve excellent results. We have improved the facilities in the Junior Department and the Senior Department considerably over the past few years. We are determined to maintain this positive momentum.

The work of the Foundation is fundamental to the continuing success of Cransley School. The Foundation will ensure the school can put in place the necessary facilities and resources as and when they are required.

Ways to help the Foundation

A Simple Donation

Any donation you are able to make will be greatly appreciated and if you are a UK tax payer, please gift aid it.

A Regular Donation

You can arrange to make a regular Standing Order payment to the foundation. This can be monthly, quarterly or annually.

Payroll Giving

This is a simple means of giving money to charity. Simply ask your employer to make a regular donation on your behalf before calculating PAYE tax.

Your payroll department should be able to provide you with a form to set up this method of donating. A donation of only £10 per month for a period of four years would produce an income for the Foundation of nearly £500.

Legacies

You may wish to leave a bequest to the Foundation in your Will. All bequests made to charity are exempt from inheritance tax.

Corporate Sponsorship

Sponsorship opportunities in the school range from sponsoring the school diary, a Christmas Calendar, the new style school magazine, through to larger development projects to improve the school facilities and provide school equipment.

There are many benefits that come with sponsorship – both to sponsors and sponsees.

For sponsees - financial support through sponsorship provides a faster way of reaching goals and improving the value proposition of the school.

For sponsors, a package can be tailored to assist with the marketing aims of your company, profiling and building goodwill amongst the School parenting body and aassociates.  Sponsorship would be advertised across social media, the school website and in printed publications.

Bursaries & Scholarships

Our school is here not only because of fee paying parents but also because of the generosity of past and present families in the school. This generous spirit has enabled some of our students to benefit from financial support during their education and buildings and facilities to be enhanced and developed. These people have helped to make Cransley School what it is today, a happy and vibrant atmosphere in which to educate young people.

Our aim is to continue this tradition of giving bursarial and scholarship support to allow broad access to the School for future generations.

Bursaries are means tested and scholarships are based on talent and ability.

You can play your part in securing this access for our students donating to The Cransley Foundation, details of which are can be found on this page.
